FSNAU has 67 professionals in the fields of food security, nutrition, geographic information systems, database development, and administration. 28 of FSNAU technical staff are in Somalia while the remaining travel frequently. The full time field presence of FSNAU includes 14 Food Security Analysts and 14 Nutritionists. Field analysts are supported by professional researchers and nutritionists based in Nairobi, who travel frequently throughout Somalia. Consistent with the emphasis on capacity building 38 of the staff are of Somali origin. (Organogram - PDF, 101KB)
The FSNAU has a Steering Committee that meets regularly to review project status and to provide strategic direction. The Steering Committee is composed of UN, donor, and NGO agencies—that provide on-going technical support and collaboration.
